The notion of education as a tool towards financial independence and a secure future has been on that has always appealed to me.
However, growing up in Nigeria, I was always fascinated about the world around me with an interest in geography, cultures, traditions and cuisines from an early age,
Luckily, I was fortunate enough to visit different countries even from a younger age including Benin Republic, Togo and Ghana.
This curiosity only grew after I enrolled in a military school in Nigeria for my secondary education; an experience I continue to appreciate till this day.
After graduation from high school and already priding myself as a global citizen with a quest to further explore the world, I researched and found out about the fact that I could obtain an American degree in Poland for a much cheaper price than what obtains in the United States.
Despite that fact, tuition fees at around 2500 – 3000 Euros a year in Poland did not come cheap and might not even be affordable to some with the same background as myself.
In all fairness I gained a world of experience with the offering, expanded my knowledge in no small means and even spent a summer as an intern to gain American work experience in the States.
Only thing is the fact that upon obtaining my Bachelor’s degree, I discovered Germany offered several international masters degree programme; many of which were totally free.
Upon further research, I discovered the International Business Management (IBM) / Global Trade Management (GTM) programme at Hochschule Worms.
Despite my initial scepticism, I applied with a world of support from the admissions office and was granted admission as one of the 40 students admitted to the programme.
Therefore, you can already imagine lectures to be conducted in small groups. Still, the quality of education has proven to be absolutely world class and better than all I have experienced so far.
There are guest lectures delivered by leading industry professionals as well as interactive class sessions by leading, friendly and helpful professors.
The university campus holds an international ambience with students from all over the world as well as facilities that would match the standards of some of the leading universities on the planet.
As a working professional, the 12 week semester schedule ensures I am able to complete my degree in good time and I know I have already been armed with the acumen to succeed in the competitive world of Global Business.
